Keeping a positive mental attitude is not always easy. But the attitude that you have inside you will pervade your performance at the gym and can make or break your progress- that is a good attitude will yield positive results and vice versa.
A well balanced mind will keep you fresh and focused in and out of the gym. Losing weight, running 5k, lifting heavy weights; whatever you goal is its not going to be easy getting there, if it was you wouldn't be reading this.
A bad attitude releases the stress hormone cortisol and guess what- cortisol encourages the body to store fat and eat its own muscle. One reason why professional athletes appear to be able to handle so much intense training is because they are relaxed about it. They invariably have a trainer to worry for them. its easy- turn up, do what they say, go away and eat what they tell you- no problem.
Put your negative thoughts to one side and try to let things go that you cannot change. Its not worth the stress. Don't force it, it will come in time and as it declines your gym results will soar!
