Why is fat loss so difficult?

It isn't, it is really very simple. The process of losing fat all comes down to a simple scientific law. The law of conservation of energy states that energy can never be created nor destroyed.

Simply put, if you consume more calories than your body uses, the excess will be stored as fat. If you consume less calories than you expend, you will  body fat as energy

The biggest problem that most encounter is they underestimate the total amount of calories they are eating. I have seen this happen time and time again.  They think they are only taking 2000 cals a day but the truth is its nearer 3000.

You can fool a food diary but not your own body.  The calories won't just disappear because you haven't acknowledged them.  They are most likely currently in residence around your waist.

The same goes for "cheat" meals and days, these usually put in appearance at the weekend and any food is fair game. "Surely weekend calories don't count?", you say. But the numbers will keep adding up. Alcohol calories do count! If you put on weight easily all your good work in the week can be undone in one day.  Be strict for a few months, its really not so difficult to do and think how good you are going to feel and look at the end of it!  No more excuses!
