This is so common it appears to actually be hot wired into most peoples brains.
Their logic goes like this- "I have been good all week, stuck to my diet, lost a pound so I can relax at the weekend and eat what I want for a couple of days"
Logical? There is some truth in this; you can eat a little junk food on a one off basis and as long you're within you maintenance calories for that day your weight will just stay the same.
However, having a meal so large your wedged between the chair and table or drinking beer until 4 am DOES NOT count as " a little" and the size 10 dress or six pack won't be here by Christmas this year or next if one carries on in this manner week after week.
I mean what do they think happens to the calories? Is there some strange parallel dimension somewhere filled with kebabs and WKD's, the door to which is only open on a Saturday?
No it will be stored as fat right where you don't want it. You have sabotaged your efforts. Big fail.
By all means ease up a little at the weekend, rest and maybe have some thing you wouldn't eat in the week BUT IN MODERATION ONLY don't eat until you're full have a glass of wine but not the whole bottle.
Remember fat is like a sleeping dog in front of the fire- you can move it but it will return at the first opportunity, often when you least expect it. Small leaks sink a battleship. Be in control of your lifestyle at all times, after all it is one of the few things you can control in life.
